The story…

Robin of Loxley returns from fighting in the crusades alongside King Richard to discover that the King’s brother, Prince John, is plotting to overthrow the throne. Prince John has raised taxes and appointed a merciless Sheriff to govern Robin’s hometown of Nottingham. (Boo, hiss!) Unable to afford the extortionate taxes, villagers are being evicted from their homes and are taking refuge in the forest. Forced to live as outlaws, they beg, borrow, and steal to provide for their families.

Robin discovers that, in his absence, the Sheriff has seized his home and his lands. Everything he owned before he left England has gone, the only thing left behind is his faithful steed, Trigger.

Robin befriends an outlaw, Little John, who introduces him to the merry men living in Sherwood Forest. Robin persuades the men to join him and bring down the Sheriff of Nottingham, to return order and save the throne. He teaches the outlaws how to fight and protect their families, and when the opportunity arises to enter an archery competition and compete against the Sheriff for a thousand gold pieces, Robin jumps at the chance.

Robin shows the merry men how to work as a team so they can defeat the Sheriff and take Nottingham back. In the meantime, he does his best to make the Sheriff’s life as difficult as possible and in doing so is re-united with his childhood sweetheart, Marion, and recruits the help of a magical mystical sprite. Things start to heat up when the Sheriff decides to marry Marion. Now Robin must win the archery competition and rescue his sweetheart.

Can Robin and the merry men save King Richard’s throne? Or will The Sheriff and his flunkies' triumph?
